Oh Deer – Featured Spiritual Story

Jake was looking forward to the semi-annual church deer hunt a week from Saturday. He was planning to take his 12-year-old son Bo and teach him how to stalk and kill a deer as a right of passage to becoming a man. He wanted to show him how to look into the deer's eyes and see the fear right before the kill. This was an experience he had been waiting to share with his son, like his father before him had shared this same experience with Jake.

The Hembly brothers, Brat and Sineoff were inventors. Inventing was all they ever wanted to do. They worked around the clock, everyday on whatever the current invention was, until they completed it and sold it to the public.

They were very successful. The only problem was…they hated to interact with people. Except for going to the market to buy food or supplies for their inventing, they never had to. Thank God, because it was like pulling teeth for them.
